Fanvil is the brand many Malaysian businesses choose when they want solid SIP desk phones with colour screens and Gigabit ports across the whole office, not only on the manager’s desk. If you are comparing a Fanvil IP phone in Malaysia, this guide covers the current Fanvil range – X300, V series, X series and the LINKVIL cordless and Wi-Fi phones – which model fits which desk, and how JomCloud sets them up.
JomCloud supplies Fanvil phones with our managed cloud PBX. They arrive ready to work: plug the phone in and it comes up on its extension. We do not publish phone prices; ask us for a quote and we will match models to your desks. For a brand-neutral starting point, read the IP phone buyer’s guide for Malaysia.
Models and specifications below are as stated on Fanvil’s official product pages in October 2026. Ranges change, so we confirm the exact model with you before ordering.
Where Fanvil fits
Fanvil is a Shenzhen-based maker of SIP phones, intercoms and VoIP gateways. Its phones are positioned on value: features such as colour screens, dual Gigabit ports and built-in Wi-Fi appear early in the range, on models aimed at ordinary staff desks. That makes Fanvil a sensible choice for an SME that wants every desk to look and work the same without fitting an executive phone on every seat.
The current SIP phone families on Fanvil’s site are:
- X300 series – X301 and X303 entry-level phones, in standard, PoE, Gigabit and Wi-Fi versions.
- V series – Fanvil’s main business line, from the basic V50 and V60 models through the V61–V65 “prime business” phones to the V66 and V67 touch-screen flagships.
- X and XU series – classic and specialist models, including the X210 reception phone and the X2P call-centre phone.
- A series – Android touch-screen phones and consoles.
- LINKVIL – Fanvil’s wireless brand: DECT cordless systems, portable Wi-Fi phones and wireless headsets.

Reading the model letters
Fanvil’s suffixes are a useful shortcut, but check each model page because they are not applied identically across series:
- P – PoE: the phone can be powered by the network switch (X301P, V60P).
- G – Gigabit network ports, so a computer plugged through the phone keeps full speed (X303G, V61G).
- W – built-in Wi-Fi, for desks without a network cable (X303W, V60W, V62W).
- Pro – in the V series, a Bluetooth handset that Fanvil says is interchangeable across the V series Pro models.
Reception phones
A receptionist needs a key for each colleague, with a light that shows whether they are on a call. On Fanvil, the X210 is built for this: its two side displays give up to 106 programmable DSS keys in total for busy-lamp fields, speed dials and group broadcasting, without a separate expansion module. For a smaller office, the 12-line V62 models are often enough.
On JomCloud we set those keys centrally. A shared busy-lamp layout can be applied to every reception phone in the company, or keys can be set per phone, so the receptionist in your Penang branch sees the same layout as the one in Shah Alam.
Fanvil cordless and Wi-Fi phones (LINKVIL)
Fanvil sells its wireless range under the LINKVIL name. For shops, clinics, restaurants and warehouses, the relevant products are:
- W710P DECT system – the W710D base with the W610D handset: 2.0-inch colour screen, up to 10 handsets and 10 simultaneous calls, up to 20 SIP accounts, and Fanvil states a range of up to 50 metres indoors and 300 metres outdoors.
- W620P DECT system – the same base with the W620D handset and a 2.4-inch colour screen; again up to 10 handsets, 10 simultaneous calls and 20 SIP accounts.
- W620H multi-cell handset – for larger sites where staff roam between base stations; Fanvil quotes up to 100 metres indoors and 700 metres outdoors in ideal conditions.
- W611W and W626W Wi-Fi phones – portable phones that use your Wi-Fi instead of a DECT base. Both are IP67-rated and support Wi-Fi 6, which suits a warehouse or factory that already has good Wi-Fi coverage.
Range figures are vendor numbers; walls, racking and concrete floors reduce them. Our cordless office phone guide compares DECT, Wi-Fi phones and the mobile app for Malaysian premises.
How Fanvil phones are set up on JomCloud
Typing a SIP server, username and password into each phone’s web page is slow and leaves passwords on sticky notes. Instead, every phone we supply fetches its settings from our own provisioning server:
- We assign the phone by its MAC address to your phone system and the right extension, remotely.
- You plug it in – network cable, PoE or power adapter – and it comes up on its extension with its keys in place.
- Moves need no visit. When someone changes desk, a new hire starts, or a phone goes to another branch, we reassign it from our panel and it picks up the new settings.
- Key layouts are shared across the company or set per phone.
- We can see when each phone last checked in for its settings.
SIP passwords are stored encrypted. Provisioning is not in the call path: phones register directly to the phone system, so calls keep working even if provisioning is briefly unavailable. More in our IP phone auto-provisioning guide.
Works with every JomCloud package
A Fanvil desk phone is one of three ways to use your extension: the same number rings on the softphone on your computer and on the mobile app. It works with PBX (RM39 per extension per month), Contact Centre, Dialer and JomConnect, where calls sit next to WhatsApp and email in one inbox.
Already have Fanvil phones?
Most standard SIP phones work on JomCloud, including Fanvil phones from a previous IP PBX or provider. Send us the model numbers and we will check them before you switch. If an older on-site PBX has to stay for a while, see connecting a legacy PBX through a SIP gateway.
Fanvil or another brand?
Fanvil, Yealink, Poly and Grandstream all make capable SIP phones, and all four work on JomCloud. Fanvil’s strength is putting colour screens, Gigabit and Wi-Fi into its staff-desk models. If your office already standardises on another brand, staying with it keeps training simple. See Yealink IP phones in Malaysia or the four-brand comparison.
